I have a network setup - 1 desk top computer and 1
wireless laptop which was working fine until I installed
XP Professional on my laptop. I am now trying to connect
with Windows and I get this error message "Unable to
establish a connection with the activation server. Please
check your network settings and confirm that you are able
to connect to the internet, then try again." I then get a
message box. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Are you able to connect to the internet on the laptop? Your laptop is
attempting to connect to the internet for activating the windows licence and
failing.
