Hi - I have a DSL connection and a router (speedstream)
with 5 computers connected to it.
All were working fine until this morning.
On 1 machine, I uninstalled a Bluetooth device. After
that, have not been able to connect to the LAN! I've set
the TCP/IP setup to obtain IP addresses automatically.
With all other machines, the IP addresses are
192.168.254.xxx. They are all on the LAN and working fine.

But this machine somehow picks up an IP address as -
169.254.253.239.

Am frustrated because it does not make any sense!
Please help asap. You can email directly to
(e-mail address removed) also
Thanks.

That is an APIPA address that Windows gives itself when it
doesn't get an IP address from the DHCP server.

My first suspicion is that the IP stack got corrupted. You can
try to repair the connection first by clicking on the respective
button. If that doesn't help, remove all network components,
reboot, then add them all again and set them up properly.
