XP Professional date issue

we have a system with XP Pro on it and have had problems with an application
refusing to work. For some reason it will now only work when we roll the
date back to 2004. The system had been installed in 2004 and kept in a box
for a year or more.
It has been SP2'd and PC Anywhere doesn't work with the correct date. It is
not connected to any network so outside factors should not be applicable.
Unfortunately as we can't get PC Anywhere to work with todays date we can't
resolve our primary fault with the other application.
Any ideas gratefully received.
 
Sounds like your PC Anywhere is a time limited version and has expired.
Have you contacted PC Anywhere for their support?

What exactly do you mean when you say you can't get it to work? What's the problem? Is there an error message? Does it simply not
do anything when you run it? Does it crash?
