XP Professional color modes

I can't get XP professional to do 32 bit color mode. There's no option to under the Properties: Settings tab. Is there any way I can get it to go into 32 bit? or does Professional not have that option at all?
Any help appreciated
 
To acheive this goal, I would suggest you to install the
latest device driver for your video card and check if
this option is available. Also, I would suggest you to
install the latest version of DirectX.

Additional suggestion to updating the display driver:

Check the settings for your hardware - the capabilities of the adapter or
the monitor, may require that you drop the size of the desktop down before
an available 32bit setting is available.
