I have an Asus and am having problems. It has a Pentium 4
processor, nividia graphics 2 card, 80 gigs and windows
xp. When i try to start it says that a file called NTFS is
missing so i put in the windows xp disk to try to
reinstall and in the middle of install a blue screen shows
saying something like ***STOP***and says files are missing
and then shuts down and reboots. I was wondering if you
knew what the problem was and if you could help me or send
me a walkthrough on what to do. Thank-you.

Keep your windows cd in the cd drive and start up the
computer follow the instructions to do a repair install.

I'm trying to do the repair myself and I can't get past
the Administrator's Password! Is this the logon password?
Thanks.........Karen.

Did you try to leave the password blank?

Wish it were that easy! I believe you have to really
know what you are doing to use this one!

I finally figured out to just enter through the password
but there I was just in the system with the C:\ just
staring me in the face.

The only thing I knew to do was exit. :^(

There are two repair options offered by XP setup. To do a repair install,
bypass the first offer for Repair and use the second one:
