Using xp pro and NT 4, I try logging in under my user
name and it says that it "cannot locate the server copy
of your roaming profile" and then builds a temp profile
which is deleted after logoff.

I have contacted Microsoft about the hotfix kb831651,
downloaded it and it didn't work, and the profile has
been built twice in the server, with no
luck.

I have disabled the 3 "domain member: digitally encrypt
or sign secure channel data" policies under security
options, and still nothing.

The xp firewall is not enabled. any ideas?

Here are 2 things to check:

1. Have your Network administrator make sure you have
sufficient rights to access your profile. Have him add
you as an individual with full rights to your profile.

2. Make sure your local profile is set to use roaming.
Right-click My computer, properties, advanced tab, Select
User profiles settings. Select your user Domain\user
under User Profiles, if set to local select Change Type
and set to roaming. Also you may want to add yourself
to the local workstations user list if not already there.

I have administrator rights on the profile I built on the
server. The local workstation (XP Pro) has been accpeted
onto the domain, but still get the message of that it
cannot find the server copy of my roaming profile. Also,
there is no copy of my domain/user under user profiles to
change to local or roaming.

Has there been alot of problems with XP and Nt server?
