xp pro/ xp home internet sharing

(xp home) has internet connecton on one nic and 2nd nic
is networked to my (xp pro)...(xp home)'s 2nd nic has ip
address 192.168.0.1 (xp pro) has ip address 192.168.0.2 I
can share files and ping both computers but i am unable
to share my internet connection ( have made sure firewall
in not enabled) any help on how to share the connection
with my (xp pro) would help thanks..._rich_
 
Make sure that you have Internet Connection Sharing setup
on the computer that is directly connected to the net.
 
Eddie, Windows XP has a glich in it. Scan your computers
for a file named HOSTS. It will probably be in the
Windows folder. Rename it to HOST.OLD and try you
internet browser again. nLet me know if this works

What glitch is that, Thomas, and how does it affect Internet sharing?
The HOSTS file is a normal part of Windows.

In Windows XP, the HOSTS file is in the folder named
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc
