XP Pro won't start up

My computer locked up and I rebooted it. After verifying
the DMI pool data at start-up an error message keeps
saying: "NTLDR is missing" and I can't seem to do
anything to correct it. Is there a fix for this or does
the OS need to be reloaded along with all the software?
