xp pro won't boot

mouse is frozen right in the middle of the screen when I
try to boot this box up and it won't do anything...nor
will the keyboard respond....Any Ideas?

Thanks Null, but I did all of the suggestions that the KB
article pointed out but nothing worked. Do you think
reformatting might work?

You give little information for troubleshooting.

If this a brand new computer that you have just set up, check to see
that you do not have the keyboard plugged into the mouse port and
vice-versa.

Are you able to boot to Safe Mode?

I have the same problem, mouse cursor frozen right in the middle of the screen.

What do I do?
