My brand new Toshiba, which comes with an internal wireless adaptor,
can't get an IP address from my Netgear wireless router. The Intel-Pro
software tells me that the network is there and that the signal strength is
great. But Internet Explorer keeps giving me DNS errors.

Can somebody steer me to some sort of patch, before I take a hammer
to the thing? Pleeeeeeeease!

The router is working fine with three other laptops that use
Netgear pcmcia cards.

A couple of people have tried to help. As a result we've
learned that the machine in question can't get an IP address
from the router. Although the computer is configured to
get an IP address automatically, DHCP enabled, the
DHCP host address is incorrect, and I don't know how
to change it. Thus, the IP address can't be retrieved
from the router. Does this provide any clues? I hope
so, because I'm clueless.
