Hi all,
With WinXP Pro SP1, XP WPA patch and Buffalo WLI-CB-G54
NIC connecting to 54G Access Point on latest drivers and
firmware.
As soon as I enable WPA encryption on the AP and NIC, I
cannot connect to the access point during the Windows boot
process. Although the PCMCIA card initialises without
problem, the link is not made to the AP hence I cannot
logon to the network (2000 Server).
If I boot XP, then plug in the NIC, the connection is made
successfully, or if I boot XP and remove then re-insert
the card again the connection is made successfully and I
can logon to the network.
If I have no encryption on the wireless, the network
connection is made successfully during the XP boot process
and I can logon to the network. Only when encryption (be
this WEP or WPA based) the wireless connection is not made
successfully during the XP boot process.
This is very wierd behaviour. Can anyone shed any light
on the situation for me?
Thanks,
Chris
