When I open My Documents, My Computer, Internet Explorer,
or attempt to use explorer actions I receive an error
something like: a Windows Encountered Error when opening
this program. This program will close.

Then I go to view further details to the error and it
will state for example:

The app name iexplorer.exe
verifiction
mod tps108.dll

Of course this varies for exmple if it is an explorer
error details suggest explorer.exe.

The only common thing I see is in the mod detail of the
error: tps108.dll

So far, I have restarted the PC, updated the Svc pack on
XP and Internet Explorer. Ran all the MS updates. What
else can I do? Please assist. I know how to use the
registry if need be, reload drivers, programs. I truly
do not want to reinstall the OS because this PC which I
am having problems with is used for my link to my
Wireless router and it is my main file share in my 2 PC
peer - peer network. Look forward to hearng from
anybody.

Thanks,

James

Hello James,

1. Check ADD / REMOVE Programs For "TPS108" ...If there remove it. ...If
NOT . Goto #2

2. Go to Start--> Run --> "regsvr32 c:\winnt\TPS108.dll -u" (WITHOUT
QUOTES)

If this does not work, go to #3.

3. Go to http://www.tps108.org/removal.htm and try the uninstall

Else

4. Boot to command prompt and then rename the tps108.dll file to tps108.old
