How can I set up the permissions in XP Pro to allow win 98 users to access it over a network?

I went on site still no help getting a windows 98se
computer to access a windows xp pro thru a windows 2000
server network. I know that some administrative settings
have to be set in the XP pro. What they are is what I am
looking for. If anyone has step by step it would be great.
I keep getting the "\\VINYL\IPC$" rror message to enter a
password.

The solution to your problem is in
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm. Most likely candidates
are a mistakenly enabled firewall or not logging on to the
Windows 98SE computer with a username and password for which an
account exists on the Windows XP Pro computer.
