I HAVE OEM XP-PRO DISK AND I HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED HARD DRIVE AND MEMORY IN
MY HOME BUILT COMPUTER THAT WAS WORKING. I WANTED TO DO A CLEAN INSTALL AS
THERE WERE MANY INSTALLS/UN INSTALLS OVER TIME. WHEN I INSERT THE CD I GET
THE CHOICES AND I CHOOSE CLEAN INSTALL AND IT FORMATS THE DRIVE AND STARTS TO
DO THE WINDOWS INSTALL BUT IT NEVER COMPLETES AND I END WITH A BLUE SCREEN.
I WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE NUMBER OF INSTALLS THAT
CAN BE DONE FROM THE CD. I HAVE HAD THE CD FOR SOME TIME NOW AND HAVE
SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED OR RE INSTALLED THE OS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Your caps lock seems to be stuck on.
This is a programmers' group you would be better off asking in:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

There is no reason why the CD shouldn't work, as long as it is not
damaged. I would suspect a problem with your new memory, Google for
memtest86 and Prime95 and run them to test your memory.

thanks, will do... and sorry for caps i am at work and most of my data
entering is done in caps
