After going through the initial setup/partition/format
process, the computer reboots and goes back into setup
instead of installation.

This is driving me absolutely nuts. I know a lot, and I
just don't know what to do with this. I've been posting
for days, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Dan,
Ok, let's start here:
is this a clean install or an upgrade?
Are you choosing NTFS or FAT?
Pat

Pat,
Thank you so much for responding... I'm choosing NTFS and
it is a clean install.

Dan i can not solve your problem, but have the same
problem, will let you know if i find a solution or get one.

I am also doing a clean install , and the file system in
NTFS.

Karl

Karl, Not surprisingly, you and I are not the only ones
having this problem as I have found at least two others
in this newsgroup in the last two days alone. The problem
is that no one can help us. I am therefore going to
follow my instincts and figure out how to flash my bios.
I had a hard drive failure, and I think it screwed up
something in the bios. If you want, I can email you and
let you know whether or not it worked and give you the
procedure to make things easier.

Hi there
When the computer reboots and fails to enter install close it down. Switch
ON and when it boots up to the command prompt change to the drive letter of
the CD drive and type setup.exe
