XP Pro vs. Home

If I am running XP Professional, can I offer remote
assistance or connect remotely to someone running XP Home
version? I want to setup a couple of systems for my
relatives and I know I will need to help them from time
to time and want to make sure I will be able to before I
purchase any operating system(s).

If they have XP Home or XP Professional and a functioning Internet
Connection with (or without) a properly configured firewall allowing this
type of access, then it does not matter what OS you have - you can help them
remotely.

And with Free software like WinVNC, it doesn't matter too much what OS they
have either.
