XP Pro to XPro data transfer

I recently upgraded my computer's mother board, hard drive, etc. I created
a fresh install of WinXP I attempted to place my old hard drive in the new
system to do a data transfer. Although I had multiple users on the old hard
drive only my accout gives me an acces denied error when I attemp a copy. I
can't find a way to take ownership of my old drive in my new computer. Is
this a result of NTFS file sceurity. Any suggestion. I would really like to get
my old data w/o having to rebuild my old computer again.
