I have problem with subject. I ran >>establish a small
home network<< wizzards on both machines. Then I
connected them via ethernet RJ-45 crosslink cable. Both
computers told me that >>system is connected<< and the
control LED on network card was shining so far this
should be ok. But I am unable to see from network
neighbourhood of PC1 second connected PC2 and vice versa.
I tried to manualy enter IP addresses <192.168.9.1 submask
255.255.255.0 , second 192.168.9.3 submask
255.255.255.0>, but it did not solve the problem. What
shall I do to get it working?? I think that this is not a
fault of any hardware component of the network.
I also visited few websites dedicated to creating
network, but the only thing they wrote there was plug in
the cables, enter IP and there you go, you have a network
pal...useless
Any suggestions welcomed.
