Ouch!

When, in what order, are the "all users" and meself-the-user "Startup"
folders applied when an ordinary user logs on? ...what order for an
"Administrator" user? ...any other weird combinations under other
conditions?

Thanx,
Ken

I'm sorry, but your question makes no since at all. Their is no older in
which these start

The All User's startup folder applies to program you wish to start for every
user on your computer

Each user has their own startup folder also, for programs they wish you run
just when they log in.

You shouldn't be running your computer as the "Administator" account that is
setup with Windows XP, now if you mean an admin of the computer and not a
limited user the same folders apply.

Howdy, Chris;

Is there really no specification that the "all users" startup folder
is read before the individual user's startup folder, or vice-versa?!?!
I know that there's no (useful) order within a startup folder because
the starts are asynchronous but it seems that, at least, Micro$oft
would specify that one folder or the other would be the first to be
scanned. Oh, well, the wonders of technology!

I had sorta figured that out.

Ditto.

I don't think I implied that I normally run as administrator. But I
did want to know whether the "all users" was run for an administrator,
or not.

I think you answered my question.

Thanx,
Ken
