I've searched the net for an answer to this but have had no luck,. Anyone
out there know or is aware of Win XP Pro SP3 will contain support for serial
drives? Man, am I having a horrible time downgrading from Vista to XP Pro
all due to my serial drives and my ITE controller.

That is doubtful.

As the hardware manufacturers would likely have to request it and I doubt
they are doing that.

You can slipstream/integrate the drivers for whatever controller/massstorage
you need easily enough.

Or go a little more 'catch-all'...

There is no special support needed for SATA drives, it is the drive
controller that can be an issue, and you would need to add it to a custom
install CD or provide it via floppy when installing.
What model of computer are you working on?
