I have Windows XP Pro and would like to make a folder that is NOT in my
documents to be private. I go to the folder's properties and the "Make this
folder private" section is grayed out. I was told that XP Pro should allow
me to make non my document folders private. If this is true, how do I do
this.

Hi,

In WinXP Pro, you can set permissions on folders by disabling "simple file
sharing" under folder options/view tab. Then right-click the folder and
select properties/sharing (this must be on an NTFS drive), you can change
the permissions here. See:

HOW TO: Set, View, Change, or Remove File and Folder Permissions in Windows
XP
