Hi everyone,

We just received a new Server 2003 based computer in my office and I'm
trying to use remote desktop on it. It works, no complaints there. I
just want it to work like on XP Pro, where if you login with a remote
client, the local screen locks and all the opened apps and desktop is
now viewable on the client. Can someone help me with trying to set up
this behaviour?

Thanks,

John C.

On a server, you're in a DIFFERENT session than the Console, so, what you do
is NOT visible on the monitor. That's both good and bad, as, IF you want to
get into the Console session, you cannot...

You will need to use VNC or PC Any Where

Bill is "incorrect".

You CAN get to the console session. You just have to specify that is what
you want to connect to. V5.1 or above should work this way.

It is a command line option (/console).
(example: mstsc -v:servername /F -console)
