XP Pro Reboot Cycle

This has happened a couple of times now and I am quite curious to see if
anyone else is having the same problem and if anyone knows a fix.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VKMP mother board with 256Mb of Ram.

I shut down the computer and the computer goes into a cycle of rebooting
itself. It gets all the way to the Windows start up screen then it flashes
a blue screen, that I am unable to read and restarts. This cycle happens
continuously until I turn off the computer. I can not boot up with the last
know working configuration or in safe mode. I am able to get into the BIOS
and that is about it.

Microsoft's article 310396 says to replace the kernel32.dll file and I have
done that. It does not work. I have tried a repair. It does not work.

I am at a lose for words. Anyone have any suggestions to what can be
causing this?

I have tried using the repair option several times with many XP problems,
including this one. The repair always finishes, however it never seems to
repair the current issue that I am having. Thanks for the suggestion
though.

Much Regards
