XP Pro Performance Monitor not working

When I open the performance monitor in XP Pro the window open up and
displays the default graph page etc. but everything else is blank. The three
default counters do not appear and no other counters can be loaded.dispslayed
.. It therefore appears not to be able to get any data . Any ideas folks

Hi
Managed to solve this problem. The trouble was caused by corrupt data
library files perfc009.dat and perfh009.dat. I expanded the files from the XP
CD and all was well again. I might add that this problem arose after SP2
upgrade !!!.
