Hi,
My Windows XP Pro has lost all the Admin Tools! When I go to Control
Panel - Administrative Tools, the page is blank. Programs - Accessories -
System Tools has also vanished.

I restored my system using ASR last week and all was well for the first
three days. I checked the event viewer for a couple of days to check for
any problems caused when I restored the system and all was well and all
tools were where they were meant to be.

Anyone know how to fix this please?

Thanks Nicholas. Just tried that and it puts the Admin Tools in the Start
list OK, but it only points to an 'Empty' folder.

Have you tried searching for the System Tools folder on the hard drive? The
folder may have been inadvertantly moved from it's default location.

The folder should exist in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

Yep the folder is there, but empty.

Sounds like something definitely got corrupted. The easiest recovery method
might be the repair install like Nicholas suggested. This is
non-destructive, but you should have all important data backed up. Try this
and let us know if it does the job.
