XP Pro install problem-A7N8X-E

I have had some problems installing XP Pro into my 2800+ Athlon system. I have the
following information for the ASUS Board.

Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. A7N8X-E REV 2.xx
Bus Clock: 166 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7N8X-E
Deluxe ACPI BIOS Rev 1006 10/14/2003

My video information is
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Samsung 760/V/780 TFT

These drivers are up to date.

What happens is that when XP Pro Install opens the screen is scrambles.

I can see the message "Setup is restarting" then the screen goes bonkers.
