Hello I'm having a problem with my windows XP pro. I bought the computer a
while ago from a PC builder and it was running great up until now. i noticed
it started crashing some of my programs to desktop and the problems just
started to snowball from there. its a fairly new computer to me and it came
with Pro however i do not have the disc to repair the files. i have no idea
what is going on with it but now i get BSOD errors on startup sometimes...
system restore did not help... last known good configuration did not work. Im
at my wits end here any help would be greatly appreciated. also the guy who
built my computer is a good friend of mine.. and im not able to get the CD
from him because he recently moved and its very hard to contact him.

here is one of the error codes that i received today (ox0000008e,
0x80576f26, 0xb9f33b94, 0x00000000)

Unless you write software, most of those codes by nos mean zilch.Try
opening event viewer & get details, click on the url enclosed with one, this
opens kb help/support,usually with a fix..

It looks like hardware error. I will suggested you may find someone to help
you to do some inspection.

It sounds like a hardware problem. Check your memory with "Windows Memory
Diagnostic" at http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
