XP pro DHCP, Rundll.exe, System restore, no net connection

Okay so I am back working on the sisters computer but I
am logging in from mine. Everything was working great and
we were cleaning it up and running adaware and then
clearing up her start menu programs in msconfig. Well
when I restarted it, the computer would not detect an
internet connection. I know the line is good so it is
something with the computer settings. When I reboot it
says that my network settings are not configured
propperly. My buddy told me he had the same problem and
it involved his dhcp (?) not starting and being stuck in
the "starting mode" when it should have been in the
started mode. Did adaware delete something it should not
have? Did I uncheck something in the start menu I should
not have? Also when I shut the computer down it says
Rundll32.exe is not working properly. I tired system
restore but she had that turned off so there ar eno
restore dates. Is there a way to restore it to it's
original config when it was built? Please any suggestions
or advice?

Reboot tapping the F8 key and select Last good known configuration maybe this will help.

Why not configure the network settings properly first given that is likely
to be the problem. Righht click My Network Places/Properties or choose
Network Connections from Control Panel. Choose your dialup connection/right
click/choose properties and go from there.

P.S. Also go back to Msconfig and restore any ticks you removed. Advare
removes any offending registry entries itself.
