I have 2 Windows XP Pro desktop PC's
both get an IP from my Dlink DI-624 router via DHCP

both have identical protocols and services installed (TCP/IP and NWlink/IPX)
both have the windows firewall disabled (not running any other firewall)
both on the same subnet
IP's are 192.168.0.102 and 192.168.0.104
both PC's connect to the internet via NAT just fine through the same router.
PC #1 can ping PC #2 but PC #2 CANNOT ping PC #1.
PC #1 can remote desktop into PC #2 but PC #2 CANNOT remote desktop to
PC #1.
PC #1 can see PC #2 in network neighborhood and can connect to it.
PC #2 can see PC #1 in network neighborhood but CANNOT connect to it.
I have tried the command "netsh int ip reset" on both PC's, both say the
IP was reset but same problem.

Please help

Not much info to make a guess in your post. First of all, are you on a old
Novell IPX network? If not, the firt thing to do is dump the IPX protocol.
Then, assuming A can ping B but B can't ping A, see if B can ping B. You may
need to install a packet snifer to see what is (or isn't) happening. Try
assigning the IP addresses and subnet masks by hand and see if that works.
If computer B can respond to an ICMP echo request, then it can talk on the
net. Can you ping the router from both computers? can you ping both
computers from the router? That oughta narrow it down a bit.
