XP pro - appearance changes from "classic to "windows XP"

i changed one option to feeze the taskbar and the desktop went to window XP
style
and aso changed other appearance settings.
seems to be a bug.i can bet it back though.
anyway to stop this ?

what if you go to empty era of taskbar,
right click, select property
finally check classic start men, OK button?

you can customize you classic style by clicking the customize button
besides the enabled classic check box

i can always get back to the classic style, but i
dont understant why the style changes in the first place.
seems like a bug
