I'm working on a machine with XP Pro, my daughter's working on a Win2000
machine. She's backing up QuickBooks Pro files to "Shared documents" on my
machine. The problem is, when I try to access these I get a message saying
the file doesn't exist, and I have to go in and hack the "security"
settings, although I have everything on the two machines (apparently) set to
total transparency, and I have all QBPro files set for use by any of the
system users.
I'm getting really tired of MS paranoia on a simple LAN - is there *any* way
of just persuading the two machines that they can swap files without a DNA
test?
