I have a wireless network setup. Problem: my ISP will
charge one arm and one leg for an assigned TCP/IP number
so I am on DHCP. My base station has Windows XP
Professional and my Laptop has Windows XP Home Version.
Is there a way to share my printer from my base station
with XP Pro over the wireless network with out having an
assigned IP address?

Jim,

At home, I hide behind a wireless router/gateway and have everything else
hanging off my personal area network. Specifically, I use a Linksys
router/gateway that also serves DHCP to my PAN.

Linksys WiFi routers come in the dual-band, WiFi-a,b,g and wired flavors.
They even offer one that is a printer server. There are also plenty of
other manufacturers of this type of equipment.

In short, I am charged a single IP address (given to my router). Yet, I
have a PAN with lots of IP'ed nodes.
