I have an OEM XP Pro Key. The CD is no longer working due the fact i stepped
on it... The Key is from Pre SP1. I tried using my XP Pro SP2 CD to install
and I get that the License is not valid. So i assume that you cant use the
Newer CDs to install the the old Licenses... So, if i install with my working
SP2 license and get flagged as a pirated copy. Can i then go back and offer
the valid pre SP1 Key in place of the newer one?

You can use the SP1 key with an SP2 CD PROVIDED that that the CDs are the
same, i.e. Retail with Retail, OEM with the SAME TYPE of OEM CD (e.g. you
may not be able to use a Dell OEM Key with a generic OEM CD or vicaversa, or
a HP CD with a Dell key).

If that is the case then it should have worked. Yet as i said before. After i
did try it i got the "not a valid License" crap.
Both Keys are OEM. Not dell, not HP... Just OEM.
