What settings do you have for the power options? Does it really matter what settings you chose? Also if you have AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet on your pc how do you use it? Someone said you should choose the minimal power setting to implement this, where or not this is true?

Thanks for your help

i would reccomend not to use the amd cool and quit feature so if it is on you can turn it off in the bios easily what do you mean by the power options??

If your crunching 24/7 then set it to 'Always On' Just turn off the monitor. :thumb:

No idea about cool and quiet. Sorry

Power Setting are used on Laptops ... in my opinion they are not needed on Home PC.

Cool-n-Quiet Well, you decide on that one ... me, again I'm deaf, so I wouldn't bother.

Monitors ... well there is another story. It is actually better to use "suspend" but leave power on to help extend the life of some monitors. Again, each to there own on that one. ;)

:D

I leave my desktop pc's on all the time. I admit im also guilty of doing this with my laptop. Is there any danger of leaving the laptop on all the time does anyone know?
