XP PC HANGS WHEN USING MS FAX SERVICE

My office pc runs on XP. Lately the system tend to hang when i uses the
internal fax. Modem has been tested & disgnosed fine. Any idea why and
remedy?
 
Is your Modem a dial-up or a DSL/Cable modem? You can only use a
dial-up modem to Fax. DSL and Cable will not fax.
