XP on flash

Can anyone tell me how long it would take XP to boot from CF?
I would really like a SSD with a capacity of around 8GB, and cheap, but
nobody does them. Hence maybe CF + adapter

Depends on the CF and image features. Full image 45 seconds to 90 seconds.
Not all CFs are created equal. Some have DMA that provides the best
performance.
