I purchased win XP and am istalling it on my computer.I
want to install it on my laptop and 2nd computer in
bedroom. Do I nedd to purchase more xp disk or use the
same disk for all 3 computers

You need to buy one copy of XP for each machine. In your case you need to
buy 2 more copies.

I was told I could buy another authetacation # and not
have to spend $ on new disk. But havnt had that confirmed
by MS. Thanks

You might as well buy the disks themselves. AFAIK the extra licenses cost
just slightly less, and if you only have one disk - and it wears out or gets
damaged - you are out of luck.

You will probably be able to find discounted CD's at less cost than the
license.......

Papa, your are partly right. However, if you have a CDRW you can make
copies of your disk. :-)

Yes, I thought of that after making the post, but if it was me I would still
buy the 2 disks.
