xp NOT INSTALLS AT ALL !

I putted xp into cdrom to install it on new hdd ( after
winME del and formatting) ,but after setup information
- proper key !- there was only blank screen with printed
" setup bla bla bla please wait ".And nothing more for
next hour - until my patience has expired.What's going on ?
I've got duron 800.It is not so slow ...

Is all of your hardware compatible with Windows XP ?
You may wish to quickly reinstall your previous OS (Windows ME) then put in
the CD and run the compatibility check to test the machine for basic
compatibility.
