Can anyone tell me why since upgrading to XP I cannot
connect to my ISP. Getting error msg that no modem found
and location is missing.
Thanks!

Are you upgrading from windows 98/ME?
If so then you will need to reinstall your modem drivers as they are not
forward compatible.
Windows 9x drivers are not usually compatible with windows 2k / xp so you
will need to look at the modem to find out what it is. In New Zealand we
have a telepermit sticker that states the manufacturer and model no. . I
would expect a similar sticker for yours if you cannot find the instruction
manual.

To reinstall modem drivers:
1) Go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers. This will
usually come as a zip file or installation program.
2) If its an installation program, run it. No need to go further.
3) If its a zip file, uncompress all the files to a temporary directory.
4) Right click on my computer and select properties > |hardware| > device
manager
5) Locate the modem in your hardware list. It could be listed as 'pci
communication device' or similar.
6) Right click on the icon and select update driver
7) Install from a specific location and follow the wizard through. Specify
where you uncompressed the files. Some create extra folders when
uncompressing so you will be looking for an inf file.
8) Proceed to set up the modem in the phone & modem properties applet of the
control panel and check that your settings are correct.
9) open the properties of the dial up connection and specify the correct /
new modem to dial with.
