XP No boot after install

I installed the XP spyware removal tool on my laptop after
using it a few weeks on my desktop. It runs fine on my
Desktop running XPSP2 but I was running XPSP1 on my laptop
as it is not used much, After a scan it foun 5 different
things removed all them, now my PC is unbootable in any
mode, safe or normal, not even last known good config will
load. It comes up to the system halted screen and does
the Phsyical Memory Dump and restarts over and over until
you kill the power. My XP CD is 4 1/2 hours away. Am I
hopeless to recover the data and get my machin at least to
boot without it?

I think there's a good chance you are going to need that CD, unfortunately.

If you are in the US or Canada, you can call Microsoft PSS for free help
with issues involving virus removal or security patches.

In other parts of the world, you can call your local Microsoft subsidiary
and receive equivalent help, although the phone call may not be free.

They cannot provide support for this beta product, but your issue is a
result of removal of items which may well qualify for support--so I'd give
them a call.
