XP Network Capacity Issue

I have a small network at work that uses NetBEUI. We
have 10 computers and I use one as a "data server". I
can only have 8 computers talking to the "server" at one
time. This seems like a small limit on users. What is
the limit?

XP Home Edition allows a maximum of 5 other computers to connect to
its shared resources simultaneously. XP Professional allows a maximum
of 10 other computers to connect to its shared resources
simultaneously. Computers that aren't actively connected to a
computer's shared resources don't count against the limit. When a
computer disconnects from a shared resource, it no longer counts
