XP My pics

Hope someone can help me, I have just purchased a laptop with XP home but
unlike the same version as on my desktop, when I go to my pictures there is
no task pane which would normally give me the options to copy to CD, print,
etc so far the only pictures that are there are sample pictures.

Try opening the folder and go to...
Tools / Folder Options /
Show Common Tasks In Folders /
Apply / OK.
