I have a phoneline network with a win98, 2-winME and a Win
X/P home ed. It is a MS internet connection sharing
network with an ME machine as host. Internet sharing
works ok on all machines. File (really drive) sharing
works fine between all possible combinations of machines
EXCEPT from the X/P TO the host ME (works fine from host
ME to X/P). We have done all we know, and believe that
all of the mapping is correct. Have specified to
reconnect on login also. Under X/P's "My Computer" the
shared X/P drives are shown as network drives, not
connected, and attempting to access them results in an
error message indicating win X/P cannot find the network
or some such. The Host ME also runs Norton Internet
Security for firewall and virus detection. We believe
that its configuration is correct for all PC's on the
network, but that may not be the case. Would appreciate
any help or insight into this.

To find out whether Norton Internet Security is causing the problem,
un-install it and try using the network without it.
