XP machine doesnt' (quite) see the workgroup

Network with Win 2000 Pro server.
2 Windows NT4 client machines
2 Windows XP client machines

3 of the machines see the server on the network in the workgroup.
However, while one of the XP machines is able to MAP folders on the server
just fine, this same machine doesn't see anything in the Workgroup????

Seems a contradiction. I need to fix it.

Any suggestions?

Maybe I should have made the question simpler:

How can an XP machine be able to MAP a folder on a 2000 Pro Server and not
see the same folder in the workgroup?
