XP lost explorer

When our computer boots up, it cannot find explorer.exe
and the disk will not show a way to reinstall windows or
explorer.
Any help?

Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up task manager and go to file and
choose new task and type "sfc /scannow".
