XP logon fails with domain cached credentials

Hello, I have a user that has lost their domain cached credentials while away
from the office. Is there any way to restore these credentials remotely? or
do we have to wait until he gets back to the office?

Essentially this is the same condition covered by the article:

"You cannot log on after you remove the computer from the domain"

You might succeed by using System Restore to restore the computer to
a time before the problem occurred.
