I used to be able to boot up and go right to the desk top - now am prompted
at the "Logon On" screen for a "user paswword" ( I don't have one - so when
click OK it opens to desktop) I went to the CP and to USER ACCTS and go this
message
"client services for Netware has disabled the welcome screen and Fast User
switching to restore these features you must uninstall "client services for
netware"
From what I can see no such thing is in the "add remove programs" .....any
ideas as to why I get this message in the first place ......I don't remember
installing such a thing....

Client services for netware is a network protocol which is why its not in
Add/Remove programs. Go to Start-Connect to-Show all network Connections,
right-click on your network connection, choose Properties. Under the
general tab, highlight Client services for netware and click uninstall.
Do be aware that NOT using a password and automatically logging on to your
machine reduces your security CONSIDERABLY.

HEy thanks !! This sounds scary as I do not remember going there to start it
in the first place but it might be the problem !! Will let you know - I am
the only user so security is not an issue. Thanks again!

Before you uninstall it, try unchecking it first. Then if you system works
correctly, you should then be able to uninstall it.

I was talking about external (as in malware, trojans or hackers) security,
not physical access to your machine!
