XP Locks on boot after new drive is installed

Hello, I just installed a new DVD+/-RW Drive in my system
and now WinXP locks up on boot. When booted in safe
mode, it stops when loading mup.sys.

Booting the system in Win2k (I dual boot) works fine.

Any thoughts?
