XP - "LG CRD-8284B CD-ROM" conflict?

For some reason I can't get my cd-rom drive to work. I
try to install a driver from the drivers and utilities
disk, and all I get is a "User's Guide" which doesn't
help at all.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

What kind of driver?
Windows XP or the Burner software supplies drivers.
If the CD ROM does not appear in My COmputer, then the
registry is corrupted. Delete the Filters:


Download this fix to fix missing Cd drives or drives with error 39
etc:

the vbs
script file, double click it and click yes when prompted. You will
need to
reboot for the changes to take effect.
