My computer keeps shutting down at irregular intervals, then rebooting for
no apparent reason. It's just started happening.
After re-booting it says the system has recovered from a serious error.
An error signature box is displayed showing BCC codes etc.

The option to view technical info states the following:

'Following files included in this error report'
C:\WINDOWS\MINIDUMP\MINI021664-03.DMP
C:DOCUME~1\David\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERB3.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

Does anyone know what this means and is there anything I can do to stop my
machine from shutting down at will?

Guess this might be more of a software, rather than hardware problem?

I'm not a computer whizz, but will try any advice given.

Thanks for our help

Dave

Hi, I'm having the same problem but without all those
error messages you referred to.
I also posted a question regarding this.
If you wouldn't mind, when you get the answer please
send me an e-mail, or I'll just look for the posted
answer.
Thanks.

Try going to your temp folder and deleting everything in it. It may have a file in it that is doing something wrong.

I presume youve checked for the presence of msbast and/or Welchia worm
virus?
